Autumn has arrived which means that one certain little girl needed something autumnal for her outdoor wardrobe.
I found the pattern for this little jacket on Etsy (here). I am very impressed because my sewing skills only extend to a mastering of straight lines! This pattern is very easy to follow and I am so grateful! I up-cycled an old wool blanket which was a bit of a challenge because it was so thick. My poor machine was definitely earning its keep! It was worth it though because it is very cosy!
Regardless of how I tried I couldn't manage to sew button holes so I made little loops to go around the buttons. I quite like how it turned out.
Naturally, this jacket needs a hat. I have one on the needles but I am such a slow knitter...
Luckily it isn't too cold yet!
I am following the 'Candy Beret' pattern form Baby Beanies. I think it is going to end up being a bit short for my taste so I have a plan to add a crochet trim and then I will try to put a lining inside just to make it that bit warmer. We'll see how it goes. My 'to make' list is starting to grow as we lead up to the holidays!
Wishing you all happy full moon blessings!

You are so clever! This is just brilliant. Sewing isn't my strongest skill, though I would so love to dedicate some time to it, so this seems extra impressive to me.
